Cydra Wingerter CAO, Lafayette Consolidated Government
It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Kathryn. I had the fortune to work with Kathryn for approximately a year and a half, and I actually recruited her as LCG’s first-ever Senior Communications Specialist where she flourished in the role and exceed expectations.
During her tenure at LCG, Kathryn played an instrumental role in achieving the mission of the Communications Office by providing the public with timely information across a spectrum of outlets. Significant projects in which she either lead or played a critical role include the launch of a new website and the 311 Lafayette portal, as well at the production of an Annual Report and the Mayor-President’s annual address. Kathryn also supported the office of the Mayor-President during the emergency response to both Tropical Storm Barry and the COVID-19 pandemic, sharing important news, information and resources with the media and public in real time. Additionally, Kathryn shared her talents across government creating all-inclusive campaigns (project names, graphic design, copy for promotional materials, press releases, etc.), including “No Kill 2020” and “Cats Clocking In, Working Cat Program” for the Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center, “Fire Safety Solutions” for the Lafayette Fire Department and “Project Geaux Mow” for the Traffic, Roads and Bridges Department.
Kathryn has proven herself to be the ultimate team member – she is a self-starter, capable of working independently, while also contributing to group projects and taking direction or critique to achieve the desired end result. Her creative talents coupled with her ability to operate within a structured environment make her a well-rounded asset to the team. I admire Kathryn’s professional drive to look forward to seeing her future successes.
