Using technology to better connect citizens with government services was a key priority for the Robideaux Administration. This provide an easy-access solution for citizens to report issues while also allowing government to get important analytics on the process of reporting and completing service requests.

In collaboration with global consulting firm KPMG and their app development partners, I led the 311 Lafayette project from research to launch. This included managing the design, implementation and promotion of the portal as well as training staff members on proper utilization of backend agent interface.

Requests for mosquito control now available in Lafayette Parish

Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) is increasing mosquito abatement efforts in the Parish following Hurricane Laura, according to an LCG release.

An increase in mosquito activity is a common occurrence following a storm event. Citizens noticing an influx in mosquitoes in their area can now use the portal to request service. All submitted requests are routed directly to Mosquito Control Services, the mosquito control contractor for the Parish.

Citizens who would like to report a pothole can do so on the 311 Lafayette Web Portal: www.311lafayette.services, according to Lafayette Consolidated Government.

The 311 web portal is LCG's newest tool to connect citizens with government services, they say.

This mobile-friendly web portal, they say, allows citizens to report and track several types of service requests such as potholes, drainage issues, abandoned cars, stray animals etc.

Lafayette Consolidated Government launches redesigned website

They say the new website features a more modern design and meets the needs and expectations of citizens. LCG says the old website was difficult to navigate and difficult for users to find the information they were seeking.

The new site is "more visually appealing, easier to find information, and more effective and efficient," a release states.
